The Dan Lok Giving Scholarship

Dan Lok is an entrepreneur, investor, best-selling author and philanthropist. Knowing that seeking a higher education is a major decision that can often be costly, Lok founded the Dan Lok Giving Scholarship. The scholarship is designed to offer financial assistance to those individuals wanting to continue the growth of their education, but who may not have the financial means to do so.

About THE Scholarship

The US$1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one selected winner to assist with their educational expenses. Applicants are requested to fill out the form below and write a 500-word essay.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
– Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Canada or the United States.
– Current high school senior that has been accepted into a college or university in Canada or the United States.

Scholarship "Essay" Topic

The Dan Lok Giving Scholarship Committee wants to hear your answer to the following question in the form of a 500-word essay: “What is a difficult situation that you have been faced with, and how did you overcome it?”

Winner Selection

The Dan Lok Giving Scholarship Committee will select a winner within thirty (30) days of the submission deadline. The winner will be contacted shortly thereafter and will have two (2) weeks to confirm their enrollment and provide their university/college information, or a new winner will be selected. Once a winner’s information has been confirmed The Dan Lok Giving Scholarship will mail the US$1,000 scholarship check to the financial aid office of the selected winner’s university/college to be used for educational expenses.
